Hello All,

I am newbie in PCS7. I have programmed CFC by using PID blocks and Monitoring blocks. After that i have compiled the same "Chart as block type". Now when i am using this block in another CFC, no block icon is created for the blocks which were used to program the block i.e. PID and Monitoring block.

Can you please suggest me the procedure to create the block icons in this case.

Your question need more details.

But at least, you have to make sure that your CFC assigned to correct level and picture at the Plant Hierarchy. Check your Plant Hierarchy Settings also.

Make sure your CFC block for Create Block Icon checked (Object Properties of the block)

If your new about PCS7, then please check for the PCS7 Getting Started, its easy to understand for newcomer.

I have checked all the settings. There is no issue in the block icon generation for the CFC. But when i compiled the CFC as "chart as block type", and used the same block then no icon generated on the picture.

I think it is not possible to create block symbols for blocks which are part of a chart that was compiled as block typ.

This statement you can find in the CFC manual:
"It is not possible to access the blocks in the chart externally, for example, using faceplates in WinCC. The blocks are initialized during runtime."

I think using block symbols is another example for externally access.
