Thanks Daniel, I have swapped the two wires this morning, with no effect and I have had a collegue of mine double-check the wiring and terminals that I am feeding into, on both sides. On the servo there really are only two terminals; A/+ and B/- right now I am banking on it that A/+ should go to pin 4 on the CP341 and pin B/- to pin 11. I should have a 485 to 232 converter lying around somewhere, suitable for a PC, and I will try to find it and see if I can get data out of the servo via that route... I have stripped out all the mess of my sandbox project and have attached it... All I am trying to achieve is to read registers with function code 3 from my servo, link is 9600/8/E/1 servo has a huge read area and the manual indicates that data can be read with both codes 3 or 4. So I am trying to read the first 50 registers startig from address 1. Please be gentle, I might have messed about with the attached project to try and get things to work, and maybe have broken things in thee process. Also, as indicated before, I am fairly new with Siemens way of programming PLC's so not too familiar yet with datablocks, and the arrays therein etc.. AttachmentMbus_4_06_13.zip (169 Downloads) |
