Ok, Í'm busy on recovering the automation system on a plant. I have some documentation about the CFC software. I see that they used a block that represents a SM module. For examplea analog input (8 channels). In the block are the following parameters: - Bo_CH_use 00 (to 07) = enables channels - BO_SIMon 00 (to 07) = simulation on - SIM_V_00 (to 07) = simulation value - V0HRange (to 7) = maximum range - V0LRange (to 7) = minimum range - V0 (to ) =output value There are some more parameters, but this will make it clear. Is this a custom build block? or is this available on the library? Thank you Best regards, Sandor |

I am not aware of this block in the libraries I used. Could be a custom block with 8 CH_AI's. Are there MODE parameters in the left and connected? Regards |

Hi Sandor-CRX, seems to be and old PCS7 version: in PCS7 v4 drivers block was for modules type, from PCS7 v5 drivers blokc for single I/O channel Regards |

Hey CBo, I think you are right, The PCS7 version that was used isv4.0. I wonder why they changed it.... It is handy to make one CFC were all inputs and outputs are listed from one ET200 module. Now I have to make in almost every CFC at least one driver block to connect my input/output. Especially if I have over 150 I/O... Thanks for the reply! Now I know that there are some blocks which I cannot find in the new version, but did existed. |

Hello Hello, So every I/O from ET200M should be connected to a driver block (CH_AI, CH_AO etc.). This means that I need 1000 (fully equipped plant) of those driver blocks. What I did: - I created in the plant hierarchy a hierarchy folder: Template_IO - In there I created the following charts: TEMPLATE_AI, TEMPLATE_AO, TEMPLATE_DI and TEMPLATE_DO - In the TEMPLATE_AI, I inserted 8 CH_AI driver blocks - The same goes for the other templates - Next, I copied the templates to the hierarchy folder which uses ET200M. - I renamed the TEMPLATE_AI to a easy name. - From there, I connect all my inputs/outputs from my S7-400 master symbollist - Whenever I need a input or output, I interconnect this to my CFC chart with all the I/O's. It seems a little too much work. Is there an easier method? |

Why don't you use Import-Export Assistant to insert and configure the charts? |
