Hi guys, I need help from you. I have a request to control the PLC and to read from the same through internet. To be more specific: I have 80 Measuring devices which have M-bus protocol and 80 valves On/Off. The Meas devices I want to connect them through ADFweb converter M-bus/Ethernet to the EWON switch. On the same EWON switch I'll connect the S7 300 2PN/DP PLC with ethernet or profinet cable. The PLC will communicate with the Meas devices through ADFweb converter to read the measurements. These measurements the customer wants to read remotely (through internet) and to save the recorded data in a file (excel or something). So I assume that I'll need a SCADA (or some other kind of software) in the customer building. From this SCADA the customer wants also to control valves in the same way, through internet. So, the valve and the meas device are related, they are in the same cubicle. So when the customer wants, he can shut off/on some of the valves. So I assume that from the SCADA-->internet conection-->EWON switch-->PLC DO--> from DO to valve's coil. So, I wanted to ask you if all this is posible to be done? What do I miss? Or what do I have extra? In addition I'm sending the network topology, so to be more clear. AttachmentSCADA_PLC_internet connection.pdf (274 Downloads) |

Hi, webserver is a good idea and also available on the S7-300 PN/DP Devices. You should check that.

On the German part of the forum someone made a sample project with 1200 PLC and webpage hmi to make a house automation out of these components. Maybe the sample project can help you. Basic thing is you make some webpages which can control and view the input outputs and use it as hmi. It is possible if there is a webserver on the plc. Maybe this helps: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9RgUeyjaAM But I can not see yt at work. |
