Set / reset bool variable

Hello there,

How can I set/reset a simple boolean variable using contacts and outputs ? I can set "X" outputs with a relay, but I can't find the corresponding variable as an input ?

Maybe I can use the Q4 output, even if my Logo! have only 4 physical outputs ?

Maybe you mean a ladder diagram ? Then see example in attachment.
