It is only one way possible to copy files from an OP25 to a NEW one. In "Standard Project" of the OP25 there is the screen "Z_Backup" including the function "Backup/Restore-Modul". If this function is used in the OP25, it is possible to backup the OP 25 files to modul. If the function "Backup/Restore-Modul" is not used in the OP25 there is only one way out. All you need is a modul and ProTool. Please create a new OP25 "Standard Project" in ProTool. Plug in the mudul into the running OP25. Set the OP25 into serial transfer. Transfer the new "Standard Project" to the OP25. (Destination is "Modul") Now start-up the OP25. (24 Volt power off --> on) The program of the OP25-modul is now copied into the RAM of the OP and is running there. (The original program is still in the flash of the OP ) Now you can use the "Standard Project" ---> screen Z_Backup/restore --> F9 to save the firmware + program + datarecords from OP 25 flash to the modul. The next step is to transfer the files from the modul to the NEW OP25. Transfer the "Standard Project" to the flash of the NEW OP25. Plug in the modul into the NEW OP25. The "Standard Project" is now running in the RAM of the NEW OP25. Now you can use the screen Z_Backup/Restore --> F10 to copy the firmware + program + datarecords from the modul to the NEW OP 25 . Switch off the NEW OP25, remove the modul from the NEW OP25 and switch on the 24 V-power. Now the procedure is finished Best regards Your Technical Support for Automation & Drives SIEMENS AG
