Hi, I have wrote a MB_Client instruction in the TIA portal program, I want to use CP1243-1 as a Modbus TCP client to link to a Modbus TCP server but unable to read the data.

When I switch the Ethernet connection from CP 1243-1 to CPU 1215C to use it as a Modbus TCP client, I'm able to read the data from the Modbus TCP server with the same program.

CP1243-1 and the Modbus TCP server are both in the same subnet mask.

So my question is can CP1243-1 be used as a Modbus TCP client to link with a Modbus TCP server?

I search the forum and the manual but cannot find a specific answer.

Hi , I have attached the screen shot for my hardware configuration here, I think some of my parameter setting is not correctly set for the Modbus_Client instruction, please let me know if any parameter set here is incorrect.

I'm using CP1243-1 as Modbus TCP Client.

You can use modbus TCP client with CP1243-1 from CP firmware >=2.1
