Hello,

I have a Micromaster 420connectedto a motor.

In the previous application the motor was controlled by an external potentiometer.

In the new application I would like to control the frequency(speed) of the motor with the use of the BOP.

Then I should be able to control the frequency in a digital manner, right?

I removed the potentiometer from the system, but I can’t get the BOP to control the frequency with the arrow keys.

After changing a lot of parameters I’m a bit stuck.

Could there be any parameter that I’m overlooking.

Now I’m using:

P0003 = 3

P700 = 1

P1000 = (I’ve tried all om them, no result)

Also did a factory reset with p0970.

The motor does turn in JOG mode at 5 Khz.

There is also an external switch connected to ports 5-6 & 8 of the Micromaster 420.

This switch used to turn on the motor when needed, but in my new application it’s also good if I can start the motor on the BOP.

BOP buttons are disabled by default. User needs to activate it. Modify P0700 = 1.

Another small question, do you know if it's possible to connect the BOP control externally. 

I want the display outside the cabinet, and not on the inside onto the micromaster.

For the MM420:

P700 controls where the run command comes from.

Set this to 1 and run command comes from the keypad, and set to 2 run command comes from the digital input, terminals 5 and 8.

P1000 controls where the set point comes from.

Set this to 1, and set point comes from the keypad ‘up and Down’ buttons.

Set this to 2 and the setpoint comes from the analogue input, terminals 3+and 4-, (0 to 10 Volts input), or use the 0/10 Volts from terminals 1 & 2, via a potentiometer.

Caution; by changing the P700 setting, this will revert all digital inputs and relay outputs to factory default. Not a great problem with the MM420, more of a problem with MM440, because it has more parameters.

N.b.

From factory default with no parameters set; the MM420 will have P700 set to 2, and P1000, set to 2, analogue Voltage input.
