Uploading Program on OP 5 and OP 15

I'm having a project now which is a system conversion from S5-S7, I need to upload the program of the existing OP 5 and OP15 and be able to check the tags used on the panel to help me get the job done faster in configuring the new OP I will use on the new S7 system. What software would I use to be able to do it? I'm reading posts which suggest COMTEXT would be able to do my requirements, but I'm also reading posts which says it is now unavailable, is it? What do you think will be the best for me to do? Thanks for any response!

If I'm not mistaken, if the OP is programmed using COMTEXT it could be uploaded only by using COMTEXT, but if it is programmed using Protool there's no way to upload the program! I hope I'm wrong! Anyways, thanks for the response sir UMENCHO!

But I don't think is so difficult to understand all the tags in CPU program in order to build by yourself a new programs for both panels. best regards, Hristo Mihalev

That's why I have to get the existing program on the OP badly! By the way, sir, what do you mean by 'it's a problem'? Is it equal to 'it cannot be uploaded'? And, one thing I want to ask sir, - Can I upload by COMTEXT a program which is done by Protool or vice versa? Or, - If you do the programming using COMTEXT you can only upload it by using COMTEXT and vice versa? Thanks for the response!

You need the PDB File and then you can edit this file with Protool. Tweety

In my opinion that's also the fastest way at the end. You have already spend a lot of time trying to read the OP. When i have to convert S5 to S7 (have done many times) i never use the converting tools, i program everything new. Conversion for me always have a disapointing result. Regards, Marcjan
