Hi all,

I have a question concerning tag logging in Wincc flexible.

I have this automation process the i want to log its tags. This process finishes its cycle after some time and it will start all over again, except it will make a pause some 4 hours or so.

How can i pause the logging too? Is there any conditional bit  that I set  and start logging on demand or ....?

use on demand triggering, and control the logging from plc whenever you want.

Yes I am pretty much aware of that, but do you any suggestion how to setup that?

Hi friend,

Create new datalog under historical data >> datalogs.

Create Tag which you want to log, in that tag properties >> select logging option >> datalog name=datalog you created.

and Trigger >> Acquisition mode=ondemand.

now create a bit tag to trigger the log. in the trigger tag properties, go to events and configure function logtag and select the process tag.

trigger the bit and check the log file location for csv file.
