Hi guys!

I have a SITRANS F M MAGFLO MAG 5000 and I need to control a proportional valve using a s7 1500. I've been reading every manual and tech data but I can figure out how to connect the flow transmitter to the plc.

I see there is a current output in the transmitter but I can'f find if I can use it and plug it into an analoga input of my plc.

Do I need a comunication module to connect the transmitter to the plc?

Thank you for answering! Just to be sure, my S7 1500 already comes with a analog input/analog output module. So I just need to connect the 4-20 output of the MAG5000 to one analog input of my PLC?

yes you have to use an anlogmodul for S71500 or when you use additionally Et200SP, you can use a anaolgmodul on ET200SP.
