Hello everyone,

I have downloaded SIWAREX WP321 "ready for use" blocks, and now I can't run the simulation because they are protected. Is there any fast solution for this? 

I am using STEP 7 Proffesional V13.0 SP1 Upd9 and S7-PLCSIM V5.4 + SP6.

TIA V13:
- S7-1200: PLCSIM doesn’t support knowhow-protected function blocks.
- S7-1500: PLCSIM doesn’t support knowhow-protected function blocks.

TIA V15:
- S7-1200: PLCSIM doesn’t support knowhow-protected function blocks.
- S7-1500: PLCSIM supports knowhow-protected function blocks.

 Thanks, didn't know that. So do you have any suggestions except to remove the siwarex blocks and add them again at the end of the project (in purpose of simulating the remaining bunch blocks related to the project) ?

I found an example project for TIA V13 with an empty function block without knowhow protection and an Instance-DB.

You can use this function block and Instance-DB in your S7-program.

But this file is 11MB large, and unfortunately I can’t send to you this file!?!

for your information:

You have to use the FB1552 from the V14-project which can be found in the Ready-for-use example application for SIWAREX WP521 ST / WP522 ST. There the block is of Version 2.00 and "Can be simulated with SIMATIC S7-PLCSIM (Advanced)" is activated.

The FB1552 of Version 1.00 cannot be simulated in TIA V15.

Unfortunately your comment is not really correct:

1.
The FB1552 can only be used for the Siwarex WP521/522 modules.
But mrsaleksandra has the Siwarex WP321 module!
For the Siwarex WP321 module, the FB321 has to be used!

2.
mrsaleksandra has TIA V13, but neither TIA V14 nor TIA V15.

maybe it was not 100% relating to what the thread starter was asking. Please tell me what was not "really correct".

Did you see, that I quoted your statement where you listed V15? As I was wondering about PLCSim-compatibility of the Siwarex-block (I always deleted the corresponding blocks for simulation), I just found this information and thought it is useful to share it.
