So there's this PLC in my plant which is connected to a HMI KTP1000 through MPI. We don't have the editable backup (original project) of the HMI so I'm going to make a new HMI project almost exactly like the current one. The original PLC project was made using simatic manager and the current original project of HMI was made using wincc. I have experience of working only on TIA portal not only for plcs but for HMIs as well. Can i use tia to make a new project for this HMI and then download in it? Will i need to download the plc project in the plc for that or the old simatic project will work? Is it possible to make the new HMI project in tia and then get it to work with the old simatic plc project? Or do i need to do it all over again if i want to use TIA? I although have migrated the current plc project to TIA but it misses most of the tags. The PLC version and the HMI both hardware are present in my current TIA portal v14.
