Hi, I made an interesting observation today. I am a bit puzzled. An 414-5H system is running in our test rig. We were testing the switchover between Master and Reserve CPU. The interesting part came when we powered down the master rack. Sequence of events: 1. CPU's running redundant state 2. power off the Master Rack 3. Reserve CPU in Run mode couple of seconds later 4. Reserve CPU goes to Stop mode. After this I powered on the rack and restored the redundant status. I exported the Diagnostic folder. I do not really see why it went to Stop. Any idea about it? Hello MicroMan, There are some OBs that are mondatory for trouble-free operation of each CPU.They are listed below and if you ignore downloading them to the CPU, there is a possibility of CPU entering STOP mode. In your case, you shutdown the CPU in rack#0, so the standby CPU acts as master and control in solo mode.Due to failure in 2 sync modules a diagnostic interrupt activated that needs OB82 for handling.When CPU can not find the requested OB , it enters the STOP mode.
