I am new to this company and inherited an IPC that was configured by someone else.  When I try to launch TIA Portal I get the messages "TIA Portal cannot be started because the installed products of the TIA Portal have different versions".

"Installed products with different versions: Step 7 Safety V13 SP1 and Step 7 Professional V13 SP1 Update 7"

So what software do I need to update and how do I get it?

The SP1 is pretty painful because it needs that ALL the components installed are updated to the same version, otherwise nothing will work.

Can you list the package that you have with TIA ?

i.e. : Wincc, Scout, Startdrive, Safety, ecc ?

it should be one of these that is not "aligned"

If you are using and have installed STEP 7 Safety, please note that, in addition to the TIA Portal Update 7, at least the installation of STEP 7 Safety Update 4 is also essential.

I had the exact same thing when i installed safety last week, you need to be very careful that the programs are from the same version.

But saying that, fixing it is very easy just download the latest versions and you will be ready to go
