Converter getting hot and spoiling MAX232 IC

Hello Christoph I am new with CU305-PN ... as i am trying to connect the device with my laptop using usb to rs232 converter... every time converter getting hot and spoiling MAX232 IC... ones put new IC the converter is okay with other 232 communication device... I am using Serial Port cable with 2>3 , 3>2 , 5>5 Configuration only 3 wire please let me know . if i am making any Mistake or i need to change something ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
