Dear All; It is ok to activate PID Block. But in my PID block there is no ModeActivate so I cannot find the modeactivate binary in PID DB. What is the way to obtain this button. Best Regards... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

What PID block are you using, what PLC, and what Portal Version/ SP / update?

I opened a s7-1200 project, add new block -> FB, named it PID_Controls of type SCL I dragged in PID_3Step instruction to the block. Told it multi-instance so it created a static tag in the FB's interface. In that tag, the enable input is: PID_3Step_1.ModeActivate, an input to the PID instruction block. Is that what you were looking for?

Hi, is it possible that you use two different versions of PID_3Step? ModeActivate is only available with version 2.x of PID_3Step that is supported by 1200 CPUs with FW V4.0 or higher. 1200 CPUs with FW V3 or V2.x only support PID_3Step V1.x that has no ModeActivate. See https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/108210036/82198803595 for details regarding the versions. If you have a version V4.x of 1200 CPU you can switch from PID_3Step V1.x to PID_3Step V2.x by changing the library version e.g. in instruction task card of a programming editor. Regards |
