Hello oleksandr; To understand the complete order code for an instrument, you have to study the catalog for that family of sensors. On page 3/98 you will find a separate order code to get the MAD 5000 transmitter with display. Whenever you decide to go through with such a purchase, I strongly recommend you contact your nearest Siemens rep, who will have access to Siemens instrumentation specialists. They will be able to guide and help you in your selection. Thee is nothing as irritating as discovering your purchase does not match your process requirements, and you have to wait another 12 weeks for a replacement. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Hello oleksandr; Unfortunately, answering your question is not as easy as you seem to think. Instrumentation and process control is a very different world that digital programming, and before you start asking us to provide the answers you must first understand what you are discussing. I would respectfully ask you to start with a small document explaining the physics of flowmeters, especially chapter 3: Metrological requirements: http://www2.danak.dk/metrologi/pdf/R49-1.pdf In it you will find the definition (in section 2.3, Operating condirtions)and use of parameters Q1,Q2, Q3 and Q4 in the selection of the flowmeter model (in section 3) that are used in the tables and graphics you showed earlier for the Siemens FI01 catalog. You will probably be able to answer your own questions better then. Next, before the final selection of the instrument, information on these different values of flow in your process must be provided by a competent process engineer, usually in the form of a PFD (process flow diagram). This will give you the exact ranges of flow and pressure measurement and turn-down that the flowmeter must be able to withstand and measure correctly. Hope this helps, |

In answer to what I think are your questions: The flow tube, the part that goes in the piping, determines the maximum flow rate, not the electronic 'transmitter/converter box.
