LM Infeed Switch Disable in control panel of SIMOTION with Sinamic Drive

GAS2 Posts: 66 Rating: (0)	Dear Experts, I am using Simotion D445 controller along with CU320DP. I configured all drive & respective axis for motors. Also there is ALM & VSM for infeed DC voltage for all drives. All topology matches with offline & online. CPU in run mode. But when I try to run motors through drive control panel for stationary & turning measurements the LM on/off switch for ALM is disable and gives the message: Switch on disable active (ISCOA: 30020) The switch on disable of the drive is active! So what shall I do? Which is mistake I am doing? Waiting for yourreply. Thanks. Gaurav

Gaurav Pls check parameter P10...it should be in ready mode.. also check P210 according to Line Voltage..In my case its 690V and input is 440V

DenisMor Posts: 344 Rating: (50)	Never ever set P864 to 1! If the line module is on a different CU, use one of the outputs of that CU as a ALM ready output, physically wire it to the input on the CU that has the drive and connect P864 parameter to that input. When the line module is powered off, there is still a connection through a pre-charging circuit (resistor) to the DC Bus: DC Bus still has voltage on it. The purpose of the pre-charging circuit is to gradually build-up the voltage across drive capacitors to prevent damage in the main line module power circuit. Remember: dischared capacitor is a short circuit = high current. The current inrush is limited by a pre-charging resistor during powerup. Once capacitors are charged, the pre-charge circuit is turned off and main power section (active, smart, basic) takes over. If P864 is set to 1 in the motor module, then the drive can power up without regard of the operational state of the line module. The current needed to enable the drive and run the motor will flow through the pre-charge resistor of the line module if it is disabled. That resistor is not rated for this load and will burn out sooner rather then later. So to sum up: don't set P864 to 1!
