CNC with 611 simodrive, I/R module goes Yellow led when activate

Hello everyone,

My CNC machine is using 611 simodrive for 20 years. First break down was DC capacitor on 1 E/R module failure, after changing capacitor, everything seems silence. 

I/R module goes Yellow led when activate. DC link ok 580V, Ribbon cable enough P5, P24, P15... HF+, HF-.. 7 segs LED diplay " n ".

I open the modules and check all IGBT, IGBT ASH, All are OK but Servo not run when activate.

anyone help me any suggest?

Please attach screen shot of 7segment LED display. Which is the controller? Provide details of NCU.

It is very strange! All signals displayed READY without fault alarm but no any torque at shaft of servo. My machine is IMA CNC

Display is OK. You have not mentioned which is the CNC system/controller.

BTW please check the pulse enable 663 & controller enable 65 signals at drive control module. Please check the set point voltage at 56/14 - X 321.

I checked all 663 vs 9, 65 vs 9 contacted. 663 and 65 has 24V already.

My CNC controller is NUM1060, Everything OK, Position loop still work, Because after Enable the Simodrive but servo motor not work, I turn Y axis for serveral turns, Position loop from NUM1060 still work, there is some voltage in 56/14 analog in.

The problem is the servo motor not work even the VSA module display "n" as the picture.

I also check feedback cable, U,V,W cable, everything still good.

In your attached snap, at extreme right side a module is displayed. Is this a capacitor module? If yes, please disconnect it & enable system & check if 580V DC out put is available at DC bus.

BTW during troubleshooting, by chance, have you interchanges control or power module with each other axes modules?

 Hi, 

1. DC Bus is ~570V -~590V due to 3 phase AC input. 

2. The trouble first occurred on Z axes. The capacitor of Power module of Z drive exploded. I changed 3 times until now.

3. I did not change any Control board to any module due to difference load of Power module.

4. Until now, even display "n", the servo of X, Y, Z, W has no torque.
