Hello, Normally for defective CPU all leds should flashing. For your case - this behavior started suddenly or the CPU id new one. First try with firmware update of this CPU.(http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/2858911) About exchanging 416 with 414 CPU - basically should works. (New hardware configuration should downloaded and there after could be necessary to do some changes into the software but it's depends). Give MLFB numbers of both CPUs. Best regards, Hristo Mihalev |

Hi, Which version do you have of STEP7? If it is some older then you might not have the CPU 414 in your catalog.... It might be possible to update your STEP7 version or you might be download the Hardware Support Packages from internet. STEP 7 Hardware Support Packages (HSPs - as at 12/2010) for installing hardware updates in the Hardware Configuration |
I hope that the answer will help, if you have still questions, don't hesitate to ask me. |
