FMR Button in the S7 400 Power supply module

My plant is running, so to be save, I want to make sure that when I replace S7 400 backup battery and I press FMR button no damage will happen. 3.I have a Battery1 low alarm.I want to test the battery is really low or it is because of "Passivation". So as per the procedure that will confirm me whether the battery is OK or Passivation layer is set free, I need to press this FMR button. Can I do it while CPU is running? (Asking to much may be-)

Replace the discharge battery as soon as possible with new one.Because if you have don't have Eprom in your CPU, you can loose the program in case of power failure.

I hope the battery is OK, because the plant is very new and it is in the commisioning stage (just going to finish soon). Is it possible to know how many days it can continue with remining battery power? I think it is impossible may be to figure out exact date & time. We don't switch off the Panel & power supply. So what ever discharging the battery is it's internal resistance & external circuit only. As we have two battery so it is ok if one battery goes low other one can sustain for few days during which we can replace other one.

So you mean to say that only one battery(BAT1) will get discharge during power failure among two batteries(BAT1 & BAT2) and other one will be standby(BAT2).when the first battery will get discharge other battery will take care. pl Correct me if i am wrong
