Hi, We have a milling machine with Siemens 810D system CPU 810DE CCU1 part number 6FC5410-0AY01-0AA0 VERS.2.4 The Machine came with no CF card inside. We have a problem and I want to make sure it is not because of lack of the CF card: Every time we power cycle the machine (even for a short time off/on) the NC parameters goes back to default and we need to load the archive .nc file again. I measured the battery voltage inside the CCU which shows me 3.05V (I had to detach all cables and pull out the card first). I tried a general rest for NC and PLC as Siemens instructed and put S3 and S4 on "0" position. Any help is appreciated. Hi, like Luke_N said is right. your CCU1 is old. any old machine issue you want to fix will cost money and time-- My suggestion #1--Cheap one try to NOT shut off CCU1 power --you can try to reset CCU1 by press S1 on the front of it. to see what happen, if no data lost try to keep that way #2--If #1 not working you need let your local electrical repair shop to check you CCU1--battery connect --810D battery id direct connect on the board --and normally you can replace battery with 30 min' (taking old out and insert new one) there is supper-capacitor help to hold data memory let there replaced that capacitor Feedback I will give you more trips
