S5 with CP1430 TF Conversion to S7-400

Hi Guys!

For conversion of S5-135 with CP 1430 card, i am thinking to change to S7-400 with CP 443-1.

Existing S5 is also communicate to other S5 135 CPUs and WinCC v7.0  by using Sinec H1.

My question are:

1. To hook from CP443-1 to existing Sinec H1, should i use CP 443 with AUI port or i can use Media converter like Scalance X101?

2. With CP 443-1 how to replace the Assigned connection in existing CP 1430? Simply by SEND/ RECEIVE? Because as i understand each Connection to other CPU are assigned in CP 1430.

Which cables are used (utp or thick brown H1 cables)

How many stations are communicating over H1 bus?

Regards to earlier system overview, I miss a Scalance X101 media converter in between PC WinCC to H1 bus. On that PC, it using CP1613.

I would suggest the following:

Use some of these convertors and get rid of thick H1 cables.
Replace repeater with normal Industrial switch with UTP cable connections

WinCC can communicate over standard ethernet card also. No need for CP card in PC.
By doing so, the speed between S7 PLC and WinCC will be higher than 10 Mbit.

For each connection in CP1430 you need to program a new connection in S7.

Keep in mind that Fetch Active is not possible in S7.You can choose between send/recv, fetch passive and write passive.

Maybe you should consider conversion to TIA in stead of S7-400.

If you don't want to replace thick H1, tranceivers and drop lines, you can use the media converting switch that you suggested.

I will stick with H1 bus as it will not involve too much hardware works.

With S7 to WinCC, mean i need to change update/existing Tags using S5 Ethernet Layer driver to S7 suite (ethernet).

Can you provide me any Manual describe on how to make those Send/recv, fetch passive and write passive?

You will need

- change tags in WinCC from S5 -L4  to  S7 suite (and adapt addresses to S7 format)

- change tags in 3rd party visualisation

- NCM COM1430 software to check/list all S5 connections

- Netpro to recreate these connections: same type  with same MAC addresses and TSAP's

I don't know if any specific manual exists that covers this matter.

Continue the same question as above, the existing CP1430 connections have been listed and as attached.

As we upgrade S5 to S7 rack,

So each connection to the same ethernet address need to be configured in Netpro?
