S7-400 H Architecture with stand alone scada

Hello All,

             I need to verify System architecture of S7-400H (6ES74125HK060AB0)

SCADA -WINCC 7.5 SP1 (Both scada are standalone)

Unmanaged Switch-(6GK50080BA101AB2)  

HMI-(6AV21240QC020AX1)

1) Is Unmanaged Switch is OK  or Do I Required Managed Switch ?

2) USE OF CP 1623 ?

Experts....!!!! Is there Anything I am Missing ???? Please Give Suggestion on Above SA.

Hi vicky,

The unmanaged switch is enough for this application because you are not using mrp in the attached suggested topology.

The use of CP 1623, is to configure the SCADA PC to the profinet network, although you can use the built-in ethernet port in the PC if you don't have the communication card.

Regarding the IM module, will you use redundancy for it?? Read this topic

as i realised , you can almost do every thing via non siemens comm. processor as same as you can via siemens industrial cps. BUT there is limmitations in quantity of supported resources, though my knowledge isnt such sufficient that saying this absolutely.

you can even define s7 fault tolerant connection via ie general since the simatic net v8.2 after.

 Thanks  , I have solved s7-400h communication with wincc via IE GENERAL ,made fault tolerant connection but redconnect license is required
