Good morning, I have a test bench used for testing some simple mechanical device such as rotary table, electrospindle, ecc... here's the configuration: SINUMERIK; 840D sl; NCU 710.3BPN with PLC 317-3PN/DP Software CNC, 4.7 SP4, CF with license 6SL3121-1TE31-3AA3 SMM 6SL3055-0AA00-5BA3 SMC20 I would to understand how to commission a simple torque motor connected with an encoder EnDat2.2 without STARTER. Siince i don't have an updated electrical scheme, another possibility would be the one of a self-recognition of the system. Attached the pdf with errors.

Hello, Please check if encoder connections are connected correctly & for SMC40 follow below steps correctly. (you need to connect encoder to SMC & then only possible to configure topology. During the initial commissioning, you must absolutely observe the following rules: 1.Connect at least one of the DRIVE-CLiQ interfaces X500/1 or X500/2 on the SMC40 using DRIVE-CLiQ. 2. Connect one EnDat encoder to the corresponding encoder interface X520/1 (to X500/1) or X520/2 (to X500/2). 3. Operate the SMC40 only in a star topology. The DRIVE-CLiQ X500/1 and X500/2 sockets cannot be used for a series connection. HTH Please check www.heidenhain.de/connectivity_endat22_drive-cliq link to confirm compatibility / connection issue of Heidenhain encoder with SMC40. |
