T400 download with DUST1

SDavies Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	I recently have been trying to connect to a T400 via DUST1, and have run into an issue where Add/Remove within PG/PC interface does not successfully install DUST1. When I select DUST1 on the left hand side and click install the right hand side flickers and refreshes, but does not actually add DUST1. So far i have tried to install this DUST1 on 8 different computers. 6 were using 5.4SP3, and DUST1 would not install. The other 2 were using 5.4SP1 and 5.4 SP2 and DUST1 installed fine. I'm unsure is it is the version of Simatic Manager that would cause this issue, but it seems to be a big coincident. Can anyone provide information on how to successfully install the DUST1 protocol? miami Platinum Expert Joined: 8/31/2005 Last visit: 1/15/2021 Posts: 2061 Rating: (292)	Hallo Sandy, If you haveSTEP7 V5.4 SP3 with D7-SYS V6.2 you have to do the following steps: - make shure you have installed the SP3 forD7-SYS V6.2( download) - contact the Hotline and ask for the hotfix that fixes your problem (I think it's hotfix2)

Marcel Cukier Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Sdavies the only solution that have worked for me so far, it is the following (always works): -Unistall all PCS7 packages -Install the PCS7 V7.0 (Now, this is the PCS7 that actaully acepts the dust protocol) -Install Drive ES (Wich enables the Dust Protocol), or any other soft you may have that also has this protocol; -Now, in the Simatic Manager, Open the Set PG/PC Intaface and Add the Dust Protocol (It will be added, don´t worry) -Upgrade you PCS7 to the latest version you wish to use. There you go, Dust1 Protocol in a newer PCS7 version. Haven´t erver tried the solution mentioned above, if it works, it is WAY BETTER then this one. But this one I can asure that really works.

Bhavin2tal Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Hi all, I am using Step 7 , V 5.4 SP5 HF 1 D7 Sys , V 6.2 , SP 3 Drive Monitor V 3.5 While installing DUST 1 Protocol , in PG PC interface it just getting refreshed ,and not getting installed. Pls. help me to solve the issue

For this version of Step 7 you need D7-SYS V7.1 or higher, or you can try to ask via support request for HF3 for D7-SYS V6.2 SP3 where this problem with DUST1 installation was solved for Step 7 V5.4 SP3.
