Hello everyone, I am really confused about the meaning of the fine resolution. I have not doubt what is the encoder resolution and I understand the physical concept behind this. However in Starter configuration appear another term "Singleturn resolution", and I have difficulties understanding it because the resolution values are completely different. I am not sure, but I believe the "singleturn resolution" is related to the fine resolution. This way, I would like to understand what is the fine resolution.

Hello, 1.2 Monitoring the encoder data The number of bits of the pulse counter (increments) result from the encoder pulse number/resolution of the encoder. The bits of the fine resolution follow. For encoders with a with square-wave signal a fine resolution of 2 bit is sensible.
