What are the network settings & cable configuration - shown in your posted image? Are you using acyclic data exchange or telegram data? If it is telegram data, it is clock-synchronous, but it may not be ISOchronous if that is what you meant. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/mdm/59193579?c=74343206027&lc=en-US Look at that link, in the Parameter assignment/addressing section to see what those parameters mean.

Ttr typical is the - well - typical time for a complete I/O data exchange bus cycle with all DP Slaves. This is presuming that:

Correct, as Ttr is the maximum time and caters for addition of Class 2 Masters or Devices issuing Diagnostic messages.
You won't get fluctuations unless you connect Class 2 Masters or the Device issues a Diagnostic message (and in that case only presuming its Diag message is considerably longer than its cyclic Input data telegram which it only will be if the Device supports extended Diagnostics, otherwise a Diag message is a mere 6 Bytes long and of of course only issued once in case the Device has Diagnostics to report).
Potentially yes, as even Profinet RT now supports 0.25ms update times (check the encoder to though concerning this). Profinet IRT (providing the IO Controller and IO Device supports it) then can go as fast as 31.25 microseconds. Question is if you actually need this and how fast your PLC cycle time (or Interrupt handling) is to make use of this? Last but not least, Profibus DP can also be set to 3, 6 or 12Mbps. |
