Hello, I need to generate 4 PWMs to control servo motors. Can I do it with 1 ET200? Which model should I use? thanks...

Hello mstfldmr; The ET 200 family has many variations and some of these have CPUs and technological modules that can provide what you need. The ET 200S family (CPU IM151-7 or IM 151-8) along with 2 x 2-Pulse modules could produce 4 PWM signals in parallel: See the following links:

Hello mstfldmr; Unfortunately, what you have is an ET 200M interface module, and it connects to S7-300 IO modules. There is no direct equivalent to the 2-Pulse module in the S7-300 modules, the alternative would be a FM 353, a stepper motor positionning module, and it would be very expensive to mount 4 of them on your system. The following recent discussion on the forum suggests you could use the 2-Pulse module with a ET 200S interface module (without a CPU) as a Profibus slave to a S7-1500 PLC, with 2 modules 2-Pulse on its backplane: 6ES7151-1AA05-0AB0 ET200S, IM151-1 STD, 12MBIT/S As far as the accuracy and resolution of the pulse output, the suggested manual (section 5.4.3, "Pulse- Width modulation" operating mode) gives the following data for the pulse times: Setting Times Using a Time Base You use the assignable time base to select the resolution and range of the period, the minimum pulse duration and the on-delay. Time base = 0.1 ms: You can set times from 0.2 ms to 6.5535 s with a resolution of 0.1 ms. Time base = 1 ms: You can set times from 1 ms to 65.535 s with a resolution of 1 ms.
