Hello RSid; I can give help on the theoretical aspect of the Safe Stop categories. Look at the attached screenshot, taken from this document: http://www.wccandm.services/4_Portaal/Normen/Machineveiligheid/Stop%20Types.pdf A "Coast to stop" function corresponds to the Safe Stop Category 0 function, "Safe Torque OFF", or STO. It means that power is removed from the drive and the motor is left to decelerate and stop based on its inertia, without power, brake or control. The SS1 and SS2 Safe Stop categories both leave power to the drive until the motor is almost (SS1) or competely stopped (SS2), under powered control. As far as your parameters are concerned, I have no experience with them, since I have never worked with the MM420 digital inputs (see page 90 of the following document). I can only suggest you look at the operating instructions for the MM420 and try to locate the solution: Operating Instructions: MICROMASTER 420 0,12 kW - 11 kW Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
