Hello,
I’d like to use an IEC_Timer Timer-On-Delay, but I don’t want it to be assigned to an IEC_Timer_DB (inside the system blocks , Program resources), I want it to be assigned to an IEC_Timer that I defined in a my Data_Block.
I can do it very easily in LAD (Pic. attached), but I don’t know how to do it In SCL (in SCL it insists to declare an IEC_Timer_DB outside my Data_Block).
Is there a way to do it?

An IEC timer is a structure of the data type IEC_TIMER, IEC_LTIMER, TON_TIME or TON_LTIME that you can declare as follows:

• Declaration of a data block of system data type IEC_TIMER or IEC_LTIMER (for example, "MyIEC_TIMER")
• Declaration as a local tag of the type TON_TIME or TON_LTIME in the "Static" section of a block (for example #MyTON_TIMER)

When you insert the instruction in the program, the "Call options" dialog opens in which you can specify whether the IEC timer is stored in its own data block (single instance) or as a local tag (multiple instance) in the block interface. If you create a separate data block, you will find it in the project tree in the "Program resources" folder under "Program blocks > System blocks". For additional information on this topic, refer to "See also".

The instruction data is updated both when an instruction is called and also at each access to the Q or ET outputs.

Use the following syntax for the "Generate on-delay" instruction:

• Data block of system data type IEC_Timer (global DB):

SCL
<IEC_Timer_DB> TON(IN := <Operand>, PT := <Operand>, Q => <Operand>, ET => <Operand>)

• Local tag:

SCL
#myLocal_timer(IN := <Operand>, PT := <Operand>, Q => <Operand>, ET => <Operand>)

I still don't get it... Is it possible to start a timer-on-delay in SCL without having to declare anything else but what was already declared by me in a global data block that I created? In LAD it's simple, I use the --(TON)-- instruction, so I don't need to declare anything else, just to point it to the IEC_Timer that I declared in my global data block. Is there a parallel instruction in SCL?

It's not working for me either, and I use V13.
Are you sure it's working for you?
Could it be that when you typed "Status_DB.Global_TON" in the single instance name it just took it as a name for the single-instance DB rather than directing it to the IEC_Timer (Global_TON) that in the global DB (Status_DB)?
