HSP Installation

Jonesee Advanced Member Joined: 11/17/2009 Last visit: 10/25/2025 Posts: 28 Rating: (3)	Hi, I am trying to install the HSP Firmware V4.7 devices support package for Portal V13 Update 6 (V13HSP01.isp13). The procedure requires that Portal is closed during the installation and after closing the installation continues. However, I get then get the message: "The support package can only be installed if the TIA Portal is being operated with administrator priviledges. The TIA Portal can now be started again." with a Finish or Cancel. I have tried re-starting Portal before and after the installation without success. I have also ran the security controller before and after. I am logged into Windows 7 Professional as an administrator user. Can anyone help?

William_B Posts: 5225 Rating: (1204)	Hi there. Try this.. Right click on the ICON that starts the program. From the selection list that pops up, ask for "Run as Administrator". The current Windows version does not always run a program in administration mode. It is a security feature M$ hopes will counter some of the unauthorised (malware) programs. ..I was under the impression that Update 6 for TIA13 already contains all the hardware that can be included into the Hardware Catelog. I must be wrong.. which hardware are you in need to include? Greetings. w

And even better it solved the problem The HSP was needed to open a sample file for Sinamics inverter configuration. The base install appeared not to include all of the inverter types and firmware versions? Thanks for your help.
