I searched all the existing topics and found some questions, but not the final answer. I have a S7-1500 and I am looking at enabling/disabling certain ports of a scalance switch remotely via the S7 program. The decision will be based on the state of tools. So the possibility of WBM or hardware manager enable/ disable is out of the question.

Is it possible to have a telegram that sets the enable/ disable state of a port via the diagnostic address?

If so, which scalance switches support this feature? All managed switches or only certain models?

So..the first idea is the way with snmp.

Perhaps there is a variable, which you can write over snmp.

I will check out the library and give it a shot. But with the documentation, it shouldn't be too difficult.
