With these features now available with FW V4.1, is it possible to use the PLC open function simply for start/stop and speed control of the G120? Is there a way to use them without encoder feedback?

You can use the technological functions, but you need a encoder feedback. You should use the SINA_SPEED FB (https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109475044) |
