WinCC V7.0 SP3 get project out of SIMATIC Manager (ES)

SteBo Platinum Member Joined: 10/3/2010 Last visit: 11/18/2024 Posts: 1563 Rating: (192)	What's the correct procedure to get a WinCC-project (V7.0SP3), which was imported into Simatic Manager, back out of the ES-configuration? Once a project was imported, the "Create Server Data" item is not available anymore, which is normal. If the ES-station has crashed or gives too much troubles and you want to restore your WinCC-backup (back to the redundant servers, you need (among other things) the "Create Server Data" item again on the servers (Server 2008 R2). How to accomplish this in a correct way? Need this to test emergency scenario. Thanks in advance.

bg2492 Diamond Member Joined: 5/16/2014 Last visit: 9/12/2022 Posts: 7298 Rating: (2173)	Hello SteBo, the reason for not getting the "Create Server Data" item and other things in this case is a so called "TIA-Flag" in the configuration-database of the project. You could try to use the Project-Duplicator, with "Save as.." to make a copy from the project at an other place on the harddrive. If this would not work too, you could make a copy from the project-folder (OS) and the remove the "TIA-Flag" via the SQL Server Management Studio "by hand". You have to attach the configuration-database of the project with the SQL Server Management Studio. Then open the table "dbo.CC_Prj_Options" and delete here entries like "UserInterFaceMode.TIA" and entries starting with "S7Project....". After this, you should be able, to open the project in the WinCC-Explorer (outside of Simatic Manager). Regards Georg Berghof Attachment TIA_Flag.jpg (1003 Downloads)

It is a "must-know" what to do when your project is AS-OS project at the beginning, and latter you choose to edit it in a regular way, as usual WiNCC project on the OS Server. Best regards,
