Good Day All

I have issues regarding S7-1200 (Cpu1215 ). Basically we are trying to print pass or fail label with date to intermec printer pc43t, using cm1241 module via rs 232. 

The problem is our send ptp block works fine but absolutely no response from printer. When connecting from comms module to laptop via serial comms test program we can see info transmitted.The printer however does not respond in any way. We have tried straight connection using pins 2, 3 and 5 as well as crossover ( 2-3 ) but still no joy.

Can anyone please assist with sample program regarding commands to send to this particular model intermec printer??

How are the parameter-settings of the module?

Check if the settings of the printer and the module are matching. When the module is sending or receiving there is a normally a LED blinking(Rx/Tx). 

Have a look in the manual of the S7-1200 PLC´s. In chapter 12 you will find some Information of the CP´s.

as I saw printer document, there is just one possibility that can be used after sending frame to printer. On printer serial port settigs is property name - New line chracter. It echoes to host every CR, so probably it can be used to detect some printer activity :) It must be enabled on printer. So test it. This is my first idea to solve your problem, maybe other possibilities are there. On some old projects I've solve this problem with optical sensor to detect that some label was going out from printer, this is another solution. Hope this was helpfull for you.
