Hello, Is there any other way to do Modbus TCP using an S7-300 PLC besides getting a CP-343 card and following the migration steps for the Modbus/TCP blocks outlined here? My main concern is what if you have a large project that is out in the field, working properly, and you want to go back and add Modbus TCP? The step-by-step guide says you basically have to start with a new project, you can't copy these blocks over to a different project after the migration because it won't work correctly. So you need to have planned to use Modbus TCP from the beginning, unless there is an alternative way of doing this that I'm unaware of? Thanks |

Hello Toombs, unfortunately there is no other way to use Modbus/ TCP CP besides Migration, espacially for TIA V12. You say "It won't work properly"? Can you describe a little more detailed whats the problem(s).
Also there are already migrated modbus blocks for TIA in the example Projects available. (saves add. work maybe) See: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/75312612
