Hi all, i need to replace an old tp177 with this ktp700 basic DP.
With tia portal v13 sp1 upd5 i converted the project and now i'm trying to donwload it on ktp.
panel doesn't have ethernet
i have an old gateway hilsher ML50-MPI to convert ethernet to mpi/dp
i installed the driver for configure it
on tia portal i can see the interface pg-pc : IBHnet
I can read the node of the panel but the download doesn't work : only start but still hanged

Someone used ML50 with success in tia portal ?

sry can I ask you, what are settings in Control panel? What I remember there must be set some prefered interface with speed, can you pls post some pictures if it's possible?

I'm on a VMware virtual machine but normally i use it for ktp900 with ethernet and all work fine

it seems that you don't know exactly functionality of that ETH-MPI/DP converter? Can you connect with this converter to some PLC with MPI/DP port, mean download / monitor PLC? It is for first basic to know proper functionality of that converter.

Hi, i used this gateway a lot of time when i used simatic manager with a laptop on windows xp.

Now i have a laptop workstation i7 with ssd and 16GB of ram with win7 64bit.

I installed some virtual machines ( all with win7 64 bit ) because sometime i need use siemens, sometime rockwell and sometime other codesys brands .

Actually i use TIA portal v13 sp1 upd5 and only plc or panel simatic with ethernet connection.

First to today i never used this gateway with TIA ( it was retired as well as the computer with win xp )

I installed fine the drivers in my virtual machine.

Using simatic manager  in this virtual machine i can connect and go online with and old cpu 314 with mpi !

The problem is using TIA and the gateway NL50-mpi !!!

This night  i solved my problem with a hard workaround

another partner company loaned me an old PC adapter USB 6ES7972-0CB20-0XA0 and i started yesterday to download at 16:30 p.m. and i finished this night at 3:30 a.m. ( it updated the o.s. first )

So,I'll never buy more this kind of panel without ethernet.

if anyone has ever used this gateway NL50-mpi successfully withTIAportal, could you explain how?

maybe try this adapter on classic local machine, not virtual. I'm using another kind of USB PC Adapter (probably Siemens copy China brand) with no problem to connect via MicroWin, Step7, TIA Portal and with HMIs on my local PG. With no Siemens brand converters we can expect no right functionality...
