hi, i think you can use one ES as Engineering Server and other ES as Engineering Clients. You Need to install at every PC PCS 7. Find some more Information about the Topic in the application example PCS 7 Multiproject / Multiuser Engineering. |

In addition of Ralfinio's post: Normally it is recommended for the "file server" to use Windows Server 2008 R2 as Operating System, where you install the PCS7 ES package on it. That is the main engineering station which needs high performance, where multiple ES stations can access the multi project on that ES. Best is to create a multiproject, that's the main focus of PCS7. You can easily configure a new multiproject and then add your project into the multiproject. There are some rules you have to follow (on the manual which Ralfinio posted).
