Hello plchomer, For detailed Information follow this FAQ https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/de/en/view/109480488 You can also use the industry mall (https://mall.industry.siemens.com/mall/en/de/Catalog/Products/10042373?tree=CatalogTree) to find the right license for your system. Use the filter Options on the right side. With best Regards. rh1990 |

Hello plchomer; I believe you may have misunderstood the reply provided by Michael. Look at the following information found in the installation manual of WinCC: WinCC V7.3: General information and installation https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/102777629 Overview If WinCC RC licenses are missing, the WinCC Explorer and the editors are terminated after one hour in demo mode. You can use the editors and save the changes until demo mode expires. If WinCC RT licenses are missing, a message which prompts you to acquire a valid license and has to be acknowledged is displayed when you start Runtime. This message is redisplayed every 10 minutes and must be acknowledged. If the message window is moved, the window reappears again, centered, after 30 minutes at the most. As long as you are in Runtime, WinCC Explorer is not terminated. On exiting from runtime, WinCC Explorer is also closed. So basically you should install the license you have for your version of WinCC, and open the existing project. If the tag level is not adequate, you will be placed in demo mode, and a message will appear (regularly, for a RT license) telling you the required number of tags. You can still work in demo mode, but with the imposed limitations of course. Upon installing the Powertag upgrade license you need you will no longer be in demo mode. From the same source: Even without a license, operational processing is fully functional without loss of data for archiving or message system. WinCC Explorer is also closed.
Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
