Communication between Plc's with PCS7

AutoGen_685927 Posts: 30 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have two different PCS7 project. Both project have S7-415H CPU but I have only one of them is CP-443, Can i communicate between the two CPU using the Ethernet port on the CPU itself. Please note both CPU are having communication connection with respective Winncc servers. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from Communication between Plc's in the same PCS7 project.

AutoGen_685927 Posts: 30 Rating: (0)	Thanks for the reply. I have already gone through the same manual. But the problem as I told you is that only one CPU is with CP module. Other CPU which is not having CP module is going to maintainence mode, Whenever I configure the Unkown S7 connection. Need to know the hardware I am using is ok or I need to install one more CP module.

Or is it 2 different full redundant stations with TWO PLC each you want to interconnect? I am asking because you are speaking about ONE CP to add. Maybe a little picture will help me to understand better... There are possibilities to communicate between these PLC's but the way depends on your answer to my questions (it is important to know if fault tolerant connection is needed). Regards Myst

Maybe you could post a screenshot of the hardware-configuration of both CPUs wich should communicate to each other. A screenhot would answer a few questions at once. Also, like RugbyGuy said, please mention the version of PCS7 you are using (both pojects are on the same version?). Regards...
	"Expert" does not necessarily mean Siemens employee. Please cross-check your requirements always with official Siemens documentation. Also "Experts" are pleased about feedback. Be sure that your configuration in HW Config of the network cards for the OS Server and controllers are identical setups... specifically referencing the following options, MAC only IP Only MAC + IP Whatever you have set on the OS Server side, should be mirrored by the controllers regardless of CP-443 or CPU port. I mention this because you mention WinCC having a problem communicating with both of them. Do you know if the controllers have issues communicating with eachother? Is data not being passed between the two?
