In PLC on line condition error will be displayed.

or when you are accessing data?

When trying to access data on external PG/PC with appropriate s/w tool, card could not be read.

For me I have never faced faulty MMC except 1 or 2 times. The Client formatted it!

Please explain in more details what's your problem? Or do you need to know how to make the MMC faulty to avoid? or how to check that the MMC is healthy or faulty?

The MMC can be considered as faulty if :

1. You are not able to read / delete it in the SIMATIC MMC reader/writer of a Siemens PG or a Siemens External EPROMMER.

2. The MMC does not work even after you reset it with the following procedure :

How do you reset a SIMATIC S7-300 CPU and MMC (default reset or overall reset)?

Actually few days ago i faced problem,where program behave abnormal,plc give system fault and bus fault led,this happen only occasionally, and after this problem when i upload program ,i could not found any program blocks in uploaded project.

so i guess memory card may faulty, then i change memory card with new one but problem remain same ,so finally i have replace cpu and problem solved.

this moment i don't know how to diagnose memory card,so i have wrote this forum for improve my knowledge about memory card.

Try to make Operating System Update for your CPU.

I hope it will solve your problem. If not, then send it to your Supplier or local Siemens Office for repairing or replacement if you are in warrenty period..

Where can you find the latest updates of the operating systems for the CPUs S7-31x

 To see if your MMC has blocks or even is not read (corrupted), you have to have either Siemens PG or an external Siemens Prommer.

Do not attempt to insert your memory card in a commercial memory card reader. If you formatted your MMC through windows, it will not work again except with some hectic workaround.

If you don't have the above tools, you may want to contact your Siemens service provider to check it for you.

you may check the physical card with

or Windows tools without problem.

But do not try to format them.

But please explain me what type of behavior we can note in PLC when suddenly any memory card issue occurs ,when PLC in run mode.
