how to access DB based on 3d array field using dynamic array in LAD language

hi,

i created a DB based on 3d array field array[x,y,z]. Could anybody help me how to access this DB using dynamic array in LAD language, for example array [variable i, variable j, variable k].

 You mean access array with variable index, right?

Answer depends on the hardware you are using.

In case of S7-1500 - it's easy - exactly as you wrote: data[i,j,k]. S7-1200 - never used, so I don't know, but I suspect it's same as 1500.

In case of S7-300/400 - it's also easy, when you use SCL. Otherwise it's no longer so easy, as you need to learn about indirect addressing, i.e. how to calculate where your data is in the memory (the address) based on your i,j,k indices and size of the data type. More over, playing with indirect addressing is not possible in LAD and you have to do it in STL.
