Posted replies mis-identified as different user name

I made two replies earlier today (August 13) in the Communications / Networks forum, on the threads named
353 controller and Modbus
Modbus 32bit register

To make the replies, I had to log in.  I did so.  My user name is danw.  One cannot reply anonymously.

I checked the forum later in the day and discovered that my replies are mis-identified.
My replies are attributed to user name AutoGen_150124.

My user name is not AutoGen_150124.

I have only one user name identity, danw.

How do my replies come to be misidentified with some other username?

I have checked the accounts. I think, both accounts danw andAutoGen_150124 belongs to you. Both got the same email address. So the question is: Why are there two accounts and why didn't you realize which one you are using.

Do you have access to other applications for example like the mall? If you will not discus this public please feel free contact my or Min_Moderator directly.

Your case was something totally different.

Example events and timeline...
1. A user asked a question at 12h00.
2. You answer at 12h30.
3. The user ask the question again in a new thread (13h00).
4. Someone else answer the question posted (3) at 13h30.
5. The double posting is reported.
6. The moderator team combine questions and answers:
-- copy (2) with (3) and (4)
-- delete original (1) and (2)

Now the answer (2) is in time before the question (3).

The answer at (4) should have been combined with (1) and (2).
..a forgiveable human error - nothing major.

Does it make sense now?

Thank you for your reply.   At least there is an explanation as to  what its association is, even if it remains a mystery to me.

I recall looking at the log-in pop-up box to make sure my name and password autopopulated, because they do not always autopopulate, depending on the O/S and browser I use to access the site.   Obviously,  they populated or I would not have been able to post.

I can't imagine that I would have missed seeing an alternative user name, but I usually write out answer in advance, then log-in to post, so I approach log-in as a mechanical exercise.

But I have no clue why there is a second account with my email address.  I have no reason to have a 2nd account/user name and would never have picked a 2nd user name like that even if I needed one.

If you note, the AutoGen_XXXXXX account was created last February and has only two posts, those two posts from yesterday. 

I have tried several times to access Siemens email support but have never been successful at doing so.   I wonder if the AutoGen user name was auto-generated as part of one of those attempts.  I would have used my same email address for that.

I work for a Siemens instrumentation distributor, and have been exposed to other Siemens web related non-public functions (training gigs), but to my knowledge none of those involved a user name like AutoGen_xxxxx.

I will be very careful in the future to note whether it is my real user name, danw, or the fake AutoGen user name that comes up in the log-in box when I log in.

I published the reply and noticed immediately that is posted as AutoGen.

I am logged in with my user name danw and yet this reply posts as AutoGen.  

I can see my name correctly displayed as logged-in.  

I was careful to make sure that I logged in as user name is danw.

Something sneaky is going on in the background.

Can Siemens delete user AutoGen_150124?

Hello danw,

you can see all your different logins with the steps:
First you have to logout, then press "Login" -> "Forgotten your password/login?" -> Fill your Email Address under "Forgotten your login?". You will receive an email with all different accounts of this email-address and there you can also manage them.
