Hello!

I have 14 Simocode pro V devices connected via Profibus DP to PLC S7-300 315-2PN/DP. Everything woks fine, but I need to make little changes in program logic of Simocode (change NO  contacts to NC). I use SIMOCODE ES 2007 SP7 HF1 software and I can connect to Simocode device via Profinet PLC interface (Simatic network routing functions). So I can see all parameter values and signal flows in online. But when I try to download changed logic to Simocode I receive the following message:

Error message 12::00A7 „The parametrization in current operating state is not valid.“

I found the description of the possible reasons here:

I found that the possible reason is that Simocode device is in Remote mode and data exchange with plc is active.

So how can I download program changes to Simocode via Profinet?

Is it possible to change the operating mode from Remote to a local one? (e.g. cyclic send bit 0.5 set to FALSE by PLC or maybe you have an operation selection switch hardwired).

This would allow you to change all Parameters....

No I have not any hardware input for local mode switch. I only have in Simocode logic a cyclic send byte 0 bit 5 "Remote mode" status block connected.

So please explain me what do you mean when you advice to reset bit 5? I receive this byte in my plc as IB 264. Do you mean that I should reset the bit I264.5 in my plc program? But how Simocode receive this information and go to local mode from remote?

Dear Alexander,

As default SIMOCODE parameterization the PLC Output bit x.5 gets used to switch between local and remote operation mode. This PLC Output bit has to be set to logical 0.

You can check if this is used in the Default Setting at your parameterization Motor Control>Control Station Operation Mode Selector. S1 should have "Cyclic Receive- Bit 0.5".

The PLC Input bit x.5 is per Default Setting the Feedback of the "Remote Mode". This should get logical 0 when a local Operation mode is active. Then the download should be possible without the error if no other additional reason is given.

Hello!!!

As you advised I checked my SIMOCODE device settings and (as you can see in the attachment) I have fixed logical "1" in Motor Control --> Control Station --> Operation Mode Selector -->S1 menu.

Is any way how can I change this settings to use bit 5 of cyclic receive byte 0?

-"Remote" mode is active(device is exchanging data with PLC)
Remedy: Change the mode to Local. Alternatively, disconnect the PROFIBUS/PROFINET Connection

If it is not possible to remedy the above causes, (...) you can upload, correct and save your actual parameterization and restore the factory defaults on the SIMOCODE pro device (see system manual chapter “Restoring the factory settings with the TEST / RESET button on the basic unit”)

So maybe you can disconnect the PLC (brake the data exchange) and get direct access with your PC tp SIMOCODE to change the S1 (or S2) to get the option for local/remote switch. Else you have to go the way with restore factory settings....

Because I haven't a cable for direct connection to SIMOCODE, so my only way is to reset SIMOCODE to factory settings and then download new logic to it.

Do you know is it necessary to change PLC mode to STOP to prevent cyclic data exchange  when I'll doing program download to SIMOCODE after reset it to factory settings?

Hi Alexander,

After reset it to factory settings it will stay in local operation mode and SIMOCODE will not get in data Exchange with your PLC because of the missing address setting (DP address 126).

Take care, you will not be able to get Access via Routing because of default DP address....
It would be really the easiest to have a PC-cable or a PC with PROFIBUS Interface to get direct access.

You save my life really! I just going to start reset SIMOCODE to factory settings. Now I'll tell my customer that we need a Field PG with Profibus card or SIMOCODE PC cable.
