Problem with drive's Command Data Sets

I have a question to you. In my task I want to control Siemens’s DCM drive (6RA8013-6DV62-0AA0-Z) in two ways: the first include using external buttons and potentiometer and the second include using PLC controller 1200 (6ES7 212-1BD30-0XB0 Version 2.2). In order to achieve it I think that I have to use two Command Data Sets. I add that I want to communicate with PLC via Profinet and I’m going to use TIA Portal V13 SP1.

I had parameterized and configured drive in Starter (version V4.4.0.3) for CDS=0 (I can control drive via buttons and potentiometer), then I copied this CMD’s configuration to CDS=1, so I had the same configuration in both CDS. In the next step, I changed communication telegram from Free telegram configuration with BICO toSiemens telegram 352, PZD-6/6. After that in both CDS signals changed from digital inputs from buttons and analog from potentiometer on Telegram 352, PZD standard and after that I can’t control the drive via external buttons and potentiometer, but only via PLC.

The question is: Is it possible to change telegram only in one CDS without changing it in the second CDS? I want to avoid enter data again in one CDS, I want to copy it from another and just in one of them change telegram. I hope that it is possible and you know the solution.

You can set DDS0 & DDS1 as same. Select CDS0 for terminal Inputs CDS1 for profinet & by actvating P0810 bit you can change over CDS.

OK, I can set DDS0 and DDS1 the same, but probably I can't separately assign for CDS0 terminal inputs (present situation) and for CDS1 Profinet communication, I mean when I have terminal inputs in CDS0 and I change telegram for 352, it automatically changes both CDS, so that in CDS0 and CDS1 I have control via Profintet PZD. Am I wrong? If so, how should  I do it?

2) Is it possible that even if I didn't copied DDS0 to other DDSs in all of them I have the same configuration? Identical situation refers to CDS.

Hello,

DDS & CDS are two different settings. You can set drive data in DDS0 & DDS1. In CDS0 select command source as DI i.e. P B & pot, in CDS1 set source as profinet. When you want to changeover, program p0810 bit to change over CDS.

1) Previous problem with CDS and DDS is still actual, I don't know what is wrong - when change something in one DDS or CDS then in other data sets it changes too, I've been trying manage it all day but I have no idea what's wrong. When I tried it with G120 not with DCM it works correctly.

2) Another problem: When I use buttons and potentiometer everything works fine, but when I choose Telegram 352, of course BICO parameters are converted into Telegram PZD. But I can't switch on the drive, because in Status Word there is Switching on inhibited active (it should be off) and I have no idea what to do in order to solve it (see attachment). I add that refers to p2080[6], r899.

The drive is showing the fault: F01042.

In the missing enables in Sterter, there is: 26. Drive inactive or not operational. 

I found an alarm in Control Unit: COMM BOARD: No cyclic connection. But how is that possible? if via Profinet I sent CDS and I saw a positive effect in Control/Status word at Diagnostic, so the communication is present I guess.

the structure of Telegram 390 you find in the list manual here:

See chapter 3.6, page 729 for the overview and page 748 and following for detailed bit structure.

The telegram 390 is just to communicate to the Control Unit part of DCM (e.g. reading the status of the digital inputs).

To run the drive you need to communicate to the drive part with another telegram, e.g. telegram 1, 3, 352,... with those telegrams you can switch on the drive and give the speed setpoint etc.

Depending on your application there are also ready to use PLC function blocks, e.g. for speed control with telegram 1 -> for SIMATIC there is the SINA_SPEED block available in the driveLib.
