Hello,

Is it possible to connect a 6ES7414-2XG03-0AB0 CPU with FW version 3.1 to a CP card 6GK7443-1GX30-0XE0.

According to a FAQ this CP card requires at least FW version 4.1 for the CPU

I don't think it is possible, but maybe with a FW upgrade of the CPU?

2. I did not find any FAQ to the Ethernet CP you mentioned, could you please provide FAQ number to check?
   
   
3. Normally you can place newer CP beside old CPU and use it. You only can not use new functions that require the higher firmware of the CPU.

ok I read this FAQ now.

Problem is, that you forgot one number in the MLFB you stated.

But if you read the FAQ for your specific module it is clearly stated what replacements are possible and which are not. Sometimes I see that there is given an alternative replacement.

Actually it is not a replacement.

A customer wants to add a CP card to an existing configuration.

Adding a brand new CP card to an exisitng CPU with version below V4 seems not possible.

He should either replace the CPU or search for an older CP card. I was hoping there were other alternatives like firmware update of CPU or maybe firmware downgrade of the CP card ...
