Dear Support

I want to add Multiple CP343-1 (6GK7 343-1EX30-0XE0)  with Multiple S7 300 CPU's (CPU 316-2DP -CPU 317-2DP ) 

Machines at which these PLC's  are installed are already in production.

What are the steps to add CP343-1 in existing hardware?

Does it have any risk factor?

Is it possible to add the CP343-1 in existing hardware without downloading the whole program again ?

probbaly you'll need for each PLC when will insert CP343 to it, configure HW with this new CP. Then you need download only HW cfg but CPU will go to STOP mode. You need expect each of machine where you'll insert CP343 to be stopped during this procedure. My opinion.

Hello electroautomates;

With S7-300 CPUs there is no way to download a modification of the HWConfig editor without placing the CPUs in STOP. 

You can play around the hardware configuration, adding your CP 343-1 module and changing oits parameters, but when you want to download it you will need to plan a shutdown of your specific CPU.

Also tell can we download the hardware configuration separately after adding CP343-1 in hardware instead of whole program download?
