Hi, As default when a library is open, its propriety ready only is set, but if the user reset this property in open dialog, he can change the library contends. As from TIA V15 it is possible to export a library as protected mode (as write-protected library). In this way, a library could be used without the risk of unintentional changes. A protected library could not be deleted or changed by the TIA Portal user and no passwords are required. The attached cast shows how to set it. TIPs: To export a library as protected don't avoid, by itself, that the future user open or change blocks of that, i.e. this feature is related to the library itself not to its blocks. If the programmer would like to protect the blocks against changes/access, it should necessary to protect the block by knowhow protection feature. Despite of it all library types included are assigned permanent write protection. The write protection of the library types is preserved for use as a type instance also. These data types and the blocks that come with them are set as read-only. It could not be bypassed. The library write protection can no longer be canceled. Further addition or removal of library objects is no longer possible. Take it in consideration in your backup procedures. AttachmentProtected library.zip (525 Downloads) |
